About

Victoria Kim

Victoria Kim (b. 1996 Toronto, Ontario) is a recent Queen’s University graduate, earning her Bachelor of Fine Art degree with a minor in Art History. Kim specializes in oil painting but also incorporates mixed media elements into her pieces. Recently, her works have focused on the self—represented in a series of Self Portraits. These works were created at a time of personal exploration for Kim, who had moved to South Korea to connect with her heritage, and then followed her back to Canada after the COVID-19 pandemic brought her home.

Her in-progress body of work grapples with displacement and extends on her exploration of self.

Kim also works in digital design and is the Creative Director of girlworks media inc., a magazine for girls and young women. Her work has been exhibited in Halton Hills as well as in the Queen’s University Union Gallery. Kim currently lives and works in Ontario.
